Extended information cookies of the site
WHAT COOKIES ARE:
Cookies are small text strings that the websites visited by the User send to the browser of their device (PC, notebook, smartphone, tablet, etc.), where they are stored to be retransmitted to the same websites during the User's next visit.
Macron S.p.A. – with registered office in Via Giulio Pastore, 57 – 40053 Valsamoggia, loc. Crespellano (BO), tax code 00442260378, VAT number 01675921207, an Italian company engaged in the production and sale of sportswear and equipment – explains to the User, as data controller, the existing types of cookies, described and classified below based on the Measures and Guidelines outlined in Annex 1 of Provision no. 231 of 10.06.21 of the Data Protection Authority, the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 or GDPR, and Legislative Decree no. 101 of August 10, 2018.
TYPES OF COOKIES:
a) Technical cookies
Technical cookies are used solely to allow the normal use of the website and the services within it, such as access to the site's restricted areas.
They are not used for any further purposes and are usually installed directly by the website owner or operator.
They can be divided into browsing or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (for example, allowing purchases or authentication to access restricted areas) and are deleted every time the user closes the browser, unlike persistent cookies, which remain over time until the predefined expiration.
There are also functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (e.g., language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.
The installation of such cookies does not require prior user's consent.
b) Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies are used to collect information, in aggregate and strictly anonymous form (GA4 or similar), for internal research purposes on the number of users and how they visit the site. Analytics cookies are solely intended to improve and optimize the service provided to all users of the website and, more generally, to improve the website itself.
These cookies are treated as technical cookies if they are used directly by the website operator to collect information about the number of users and how they visit the site.
c) Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies are aimed at creating user profiles and are used to send advertising messages aligned with the preferences shown by the user during browsing.
Due to the invasiveness these tools can have in the private sphere of users, European and Italian law requires that users be adequately informed about their use and provide valid consent.
d) Third-party cookies
Third-party cookies are installed by a website other than the one visited by the User. This type of cookie is often used for profiling activities, such as analyzing the performance of marketing campaigns and/or delivering personalized advertisements on the visited site.
These activities are known as "retargeting" and are based on the user's browsing behavior, such as searched destinations, viewed items, etc. These services are provided by third parties in exchange for information about the User's visit to the website.
Therefore, even third-party cookie providers must comply with applicable regulations.
e) Web beacons
Web beacons are lines of code that generate tiny images embedded in a webpage or email, allowing for statistical information to be collected about User activities to improve navigation and services offered through the site.
For newsletter services, if the User wants to prevent such statistical information from being collected, they must set HTML deactivation in their email system, so communications are read only as text.
f) Social Buttons
Among third-party cookies are the so-called social buttons. These are special "buttons" on the site that depict icons of social networks (such as Facebook and Instagram).
Their presence allows users who visit the site to interact directly with the desired social networks through a "click".
